Dynamic popout filters

Filtering courses just got easier in CourseTable 2.1!

Being able to easily narrow down Yale's extensive course listings into a specific search is essential to a quick course search.

Before, all these filters were on the side, which allowed users to easily see what they're filtering by, but took up a lot of screen real estate.

With 2.1, these filters are condensed in the navbar as dynamic popout filters, making them easy to access and informative yet unobtrusive.

Dynamic popout filters have dynamic labels which turn blue when actively filtering and reflect filter details.

Filters by subject(s). Dynamic label shows up to 3 subjects + the number of additional subjects being filtered.

Subject options have subject code and full title.

Filters by area(s)/skill(s). Dynamic label shows up to 3 areas/skills + the number of additional areas/skills being filtered.

Areas/skills options have abbreviations and full names. Options are grouped into and .

Filters by season(s). Dynamic label shows up to 1 season + the number of additional seasons being filtered.

Includes all the advanced filters. The dynamic label shows how many advanced filters are currently active.
